John Frusciante – PBX Funicular Intaglio Zone
After John Frusciante left RHCP his music repertoire and
styles have been ever changing and expanding. Going from soft, blues rock
backed by his beautiful guitar and unique soft vocals to rap and now with „PBX
Funicular Intaglio Zone" his 4th solo album, psychedelic pop.
This album is based on a technique called intaglio used in physics.
It's basically total opposites combined which is what this album is. The result is some pretty
unorthodox songs with sudden changes in tonality and quite sudden endings. Even
though it's not something we're used to from John or music in general i quite
like it but not many will.
Frusciante offers us again his thoughts and his heart in a new and at the same time he conducts an experiment on our music taste.

Intaglio technique is used an instrument to express the
daily life of a man dealing with a bipolar disorder.
